What Information will I need to know to apply?
You will need the following:
- Your business ABN if one is held.
- Your business Tax File Number (TFN). If you cannot provide this (and you are not exempt) we will have to deduct withholding tax from your new account.
- Details of who will use the account.
- An email address so we can confirm that your application has been received.
- A printer so you can print your completed application form to sign and send it to us.
What are the Identification requirements?
All new Authorised Signatories and Office Bearers (that are not Bankwest customers) will need to present photographic identification.

Certified (or Original) Company Search/Extract (no older than 10 working days).

Certified (or Original) Business Search/Extract (no older than 10 working days).

Certified (or Original) Copy of Trust Deeds.
Trust Deeds must be stamped (if applicable) by the Office of State Revenue for your issuing State.

- how the account is to be operated e.g. 1 to sign, 2 to sign
- the minutes need to clearly state that Bankwest has been chosen for the purpose of opening an account.
- Certificate of Incorporation and
- Constitution.

DIY / Super Fund
For trusts either held by or operated in connection with a superannuation fund, a copy of the superannuation fund document is required including:

What are the steps?
We've made it very quick and easy to apply for your Business Transaction Account. Just follow these steps:
Step One
Read and accept our Privacy Policy and confirm that you are authorised to apply to open an account and provide your name and address.
Step Two
Provide some information about your business.
Step Three
Advise how we can contact you.
Step Four
Provide details of the Business Transaction Account.
Step Five
Nominate details for Online Business Banking.
Step Six
Advise us who will be authorised to use the account.
Step Seven
Confirm that we have everything we need. Read and accept our Product Disclosure Statement. Then either print, sign and post your application to us, or ask us to send you an electronic copy for you to sign and return.
How long will it take?
Completing the online application can take as little as 15 minutes.
After you send us your completed application form (and all parties have been identified) we will open your account and you may access your new account within a few days.
Please note our online application process includes a 45 minute time out session for additional security. If you leave your application open for 45 minutes without entering any details it will time out and you will need to start again.
Why is an email address required?
We need your email address so we can communicate with you about access to this account.
What if I need to save and resume my online application at a later date?
Once you have entered in a valid email address and clicked next on your "Personal Details" Page, you will receive an email with your application reference number in it.
You are then able to resume your saved online application using the given application reference number within 21 days.
What happens next?
We will ask you for your business details.
